El Paso:

So what is there to do in El Paso? I'm glad you asked.  Within a few miles of the wedding site are Bob-O's (mini golf, go-karts, batting cages, laser tag), Sunland Park Mall, Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino (no racing in the summer, however), and the new site of Western Playland Amusement Park in May 2006.

El Paso borders Ciudad Juarez, Mexico's fourth largest city.  Driving in Juarez is not a very fun event, but there is the Border Jumper Trolley that runs in a loop from the El Paso Convention Center to downtown Juarez.

Other attractions in El Paso include Wet-N-Wild Waterworld, UTEP (University of Texas - El Paso, site of the Sun Bowl), the El Paso Zoo, and Franklin Mountains State Park.  The El Paso Diablos (Arizona Diamondbacks AA baseball team) will be at home against the St Paul Saints on Thursday June 1, and against the Pensacola Pelicans the Friday through Sunday.  El Paso is also home to Fort Bliss, one of the largest Army bases in the country.

Not surprisingly, El Paso is also home to lots of great Mexican food.  Stop by the Chico's Tacos on Montana on your way from the airport for a real taste of El Paso.
