Hopefully
you know at least one of us, but here's a little background on the
happy couple.
Eric and Misty met in 2001 when they were both sophomores at Carleton College
in Northfield, MN. Misty's roommate Anna was a mutual friend,
and
all three had a class together in the fall. But the end of
the
term did not mean the end of their time together, as shortly afterwards
they started dating. They both graduated in June of 2004, and
moved to Madison, WI.
In July of 2005, Eric picked Misty up when she returned from a trip to
El Paso. She arrived home to find the room full of balloons and
flowers, and Eric on his knee with an engagement ring asking her to
marry him.
Currently, Eric is a graduate student in the Computer Sciences
department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His focus
area is artificial intelligence, and he also teaches an introductory
Java programming course. Misty spent a year as a
lab technician at Covance before entering the University of Wisconsin's
School of Veterinary
Medicine in fall 2005. She is in her first year of
a four year program and plans to focus on exotic species.
